This weekend see the release of the David Fincher-directed film, Gone Girl, where Ben Affleck plays a guy who is suspected of murdering his wife. So I guess it’s only appropriate that Affleck’s directorial debut was titled I Killed My Lesbian Wife, Hung Her on a Meat Hook, and Now I Have a Three-Picture Deal (spoiler alert: does that completely describes the ending of Gone Girl?). Long before he was an acclaimed, Academy Award-winning director, Affleck was attending college and decided to make a 16-minute student film about a director who murders his wife. Affleck has since disowned his directorial debut and has openly stated how awful it was, and when you look at some of the titles in his filmography, that says a LOT!
