Yesterday, James Franco wrote a guest editorial for the Washington Post defending McDonald’s because working there helped him survive when he was a young struggling actor. During the article, he made mention of his first major acting job in a Pizza Hut commercial… and prompted linked to my “Before They Were Stars” posting about it from last year! As a result, The Back Row got thousands of extra hits in traffic yesterday, so to show my appreciation to Mr. Franco, I shall do another “Before They Were Stars” spotlight on him. Here is the first official acting credit on Franco’s filmography, a guest appearance on a 1997 episode of Pacific Blue. You might remember Pacific Blue as the police drama which was often described as “Baywatch on bikes” and the heroes in this particular episode have to ride in on their bicycles to save Franco from a major beatdown.
