If you’re wondering about the title of this post, well, it’s because Lifetime Channel made-for-TV movies usually use at least one of those words in their titles. And that’s what Dark Places looks like: a Lifetime movie. Now, I fully admit to enjoying Gone Girl in an airport bookstore novel (or big-budget Lifetime movie) sort of way, but after seeing this trailer, I’m convinced that the quality of Gone Girl was almost entirely because of David Fincher, and barely because of the source material. I mean, a satanic cult? Really?
Dark Places comes out August 7, 2015.
