Alan Rickman was the go-to guy for playing Hollywood villains in the late eighties and early nineties, but a rather forgotten villainous Rickman role was in the 1990 western, Quigley Down Under, where he squared off in a duel with gunslinger Tom Selleck. Since the movie took place and was shot in Australia, an unknown young Australian actor was cast as one of Rickman’s henchmen. You might recognize him as Ben Mendelsohn.
