A group of student activists travels to the Amazon to save the rain forest and soon discover that they are not alone, and that no good deed goes unpunished.
Ever since the release of Eli Roth’s new cannibal horror movie The Green Inferno was delayed by almost a year, I’ve been kicking myself for not catching it at last year’s Fantasia Festival when I was in attendance. Oh well, it’s finally coming out, and here’s a gruesome new clip to whet your thirst for blood! I have no idea what to expect from this movie in terms of quality. I think it’s cool that Roth wants to go all Ruggero Deodato and do a crazy cannibal film, and the makeup and costuming are pretty outstanding, but I worry that it will come off as looking like a made-for-TV movie. I found that earthquake film that Roth produced and starred in – Aftershock – to fall victim to these problems.
The Green Inferno comes out September 25, 2015.
