Can Hulu break the Stephen King TV curse? I have yet to see a show that actually does Stephen King’s material in an interesting, compelling way. There have been a number of movies that did his work justice, like The Mist or The Dead Zone, but most of his TV mini-series are just…lame. Yes, even It. But now Hulu has gotten its hands on King’s problematically-titled 11.22.63, about a man (played by James Franco) who has to go back in time to stop the JFK assassination. Frankly, I think this could be pretty interesting. But the only thing stopping me from getting on board wholeheartedly is, of course, King’s TV track record. I guess time will tell if this is any good.
11.22.63 starts on 2.15.16. That’s not confusing.
