Obviously, The Back Row is featuring a plethora of material featuring the late, great David Bowie this week and of course, that also extends to “Before They Were Stars” footage. Here’s one of Bowie’s rarest tracks from the mid-1960s when he was still performing under the name, Davie Jones, and had a brief turn with a blues band called The Manish Boys. He provided vocals for a tune titled “I Pity the Fool”, which I can only assume is Mr. T’s favourite David Bowie song. Incidentally, the guitar solo on this track is provided by a young Jimmy Page, who was working as a studio musician during this time period.
