I’m not sure where I stand on Hardcore Henry at this point. As some gimmicky cinema, yeah, it looks pretty fun in a mindles, explode-y kind of way. But should we really be hailing this as a cinematic revolution? If this is a revolution, it seems like our movies really are becoming more and more like video games. Except this is a video game that you can’t play, so…fun? Anyway, I just know I’m going to see this movie, but frankly, the fact that it’s not in 3D is kind of disappointing. Isn’t total immersion the point of all this? Bottom line: bang! Bang! Pow! Kablooie! Jolly good.
