Later today, we’ll be posting a Shouts From the Back Row podcast about the career of Michael Shannon, so here’s some footage of one of his earliest film roles. Chicago Cab was a 1997 independent movie which follows a cab driver who picks up a slew of crazy passengers over the course of one day. A lot of big names popped up to play the various passengers, including John Cusack, Gillian Anderson and Julianne Moore, but one of them was played by a then-unknown actor named Michael Shannon, credited here as “crackhead”. And, unknown actor or not, you just know that if Michael Shannon is given the opportunity to play a crackhead, it’s going to be memorable!
