Hoodwink is a 1981 Australian film based on a true story which actually has a pretty neat premise: a convicted bank robber devises an elaborate con job in which he pretends to go blind, so that he will garner an early release from prison. Of course, the cops don’t believe him, so once the robber’s free, they do everything in their power to try and expose his ruse. Anyway, one of the aforementioned cops is a young Geoffrey Rush in his screen debut, playing the small role of “Detective#1”.
