Canadian actress Lisa Jakub was born in Toronto and made her film debut in the film Eleni. Much television work followed, as she appeared on the TV series Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Twilight Zone, Friday the 13th, War of the Worlds, and Night Court. 1993 proved to be a fruitful year for Jakub as she landed prominent roles in Joe Dante’s Matinee and Mrs. Doubtfire. She has also appeared in the films Independence Day, The Beautician and the Beast, Painted Angels, and A Walk on the Moon. At the moment, it appears as though Lisa Jakub has retired from acting, with her last role being in 2001’s Double Frame. Lisa Jakub turns 34 today.
