In the early 1970s, a young Mandy Patinkin started off his career in a series of 7 Up commercials, playing a character called the “Teen Angel”. Basically, he was the ghost of a 1950s teenager who apparently died in a car wreck and liked to haunt places and remark on how more kids today were drinking 7 Up instead of Coca-Cola. These commercials were apparently very popular at the time, though it’s pretty depressing to think that this dead guy is pretty much condemned to roam the Earth and comment on other people’s soft drink preferences.
