Man oh man, the more I see of Gods of Egypt, the more insanely bad it looks! And it’s kind of a tragedy, given how much I’ve enjoyed some of director Alex Proyas’ previous work…mainly Dark City. It’s not just the whitewashing that plagues Gods of Egypt, either. The whole movie looks like a big mess, existing somewhere between Clash of the Titans and Jupiter Ascending. I think it’s going to be wonderfully terrible, and if I’m being honest, I may be the only person who pays to see this movie.
