I am really curious to see how Pee-wee’s Big Holiday is received. It’s a belated sequel to a cult property that was, in part, based on the fact that the main character was older than he acted but not so old that it was completely bizarre. Pee-wee Herman existed in a similar universe to someone like Ernest P. Worrell…and I’m just not sure he’ll be palatable as a character if he’s being played by someone who is 64 years old.
